There are so many excellent resources related to good sportsmanship on the Internet, that I'm not sure I can possibly improve on them except for maybe adding one or two points (after I have spent months reading up on a bunch of them). Wikipedia has a great page about sportsmanship. Maybe to really get one's wits around what good sportsmanship is, one needs to look at what it is not — thus a good place to find out about this is a page which covers unsportsmanlike conduct. Also, one important thing to not lose sight of is that good sportsmanship doesn't necessarily only have to do with sport. The admirable ethos of good sportsmanship can be embraced right across all areas of one's life. In fact, some even go as far as saying that Life is a Game.
